When Dr. Nuchovich, a board-certified internist, retired to Portugal, he didn't just close a practice — he entrusted decades of patients to a physician he trusted to care for them the same way. That physician is Dr. Sandhya Pattem.

Meet Dr. Sandhya Pattem, MD, MSPH

Dr. Pattem is board-certified through the American Board of Family Medicine, with over 20 years of experience across primary care, geriatric, and urgent care settings. She completed her family medicine residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center through Michigan State University, and earned a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Over the years, Dr. Pattem expanded into procedural and aesthetic medicine — performing dermal fillers, PDO threads, and PRP procedures — and developed a growing focus on anti-aging and functional medicine. That combination is rare: a physician who can manage your diabetes and your annual physical, and also help you feel and look your best as you age.

In 2025 she was recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor, a peer-nominated honor reflecting the respect of other physicians.
